***LIMITED SUPPLY - OUR SUPPLIER HAS STOPPED CARRYING SOME OF OUR PLASTIC ITEMS - ONCE THEY ARE GONE, THEY'RE GONE!
Slightly larger than our blue plastic eggs, these plastic eggs are speckled to closer resemble a canary egg but may be used for finches, canaries and other small birds.
Plastic eggs, or "dummy" eggs, are used by breeders to ensure all chicks hatch on the same day. Real eggs are removed and stored separately for up to 7 days and replaced with the plastic eggs until the entire clutch is laid.
Finches & canaries will lay a clutch of 4 to 6 eggs on average. Eggs are laid - one per day - up to 6 or more days.
Once the hen begins to brood consistently, replace the dummy eggs with her natural clutch ensuring all eggs hatch on the same day or within a day of each other!
Top rack dishwasher safe if placed in a container so they don't bounce out of the rack.
