Plastic eggs, or "dummy" eggs, are used by breeders to ensure all chicks hatch on the same day.

Finches will lay a clutch of 4 to 6 eggs on average. Gouldian finches lay eggs - one per day - up to 6 or more days.

Once the hen begins to brood consistently, replace the dummy eggs with her natural clutch ensuring all eggs hatch on the same day or within a day of each other!

Top rack dishwasher safe if placed in a container so they don't bounce out of the rack.
