Our Blood Stop & Parasite Control powder is made from diatomaceous earth, a naturally occuring chalk-like sedimentary rock consisting of fossilized remains of diatoms (a type of hard-shelled algae). It is used as a mechanical insecticide and blood clotting agent.

Packaged in this affordable 1 oz size ensures the product will be used before humidity can inhibit its effectiveness. When kept tightly sealed, this product will remain effective for years.

Typical composition is 86% silica, 5% sodium, 3% magnesium and 2% iron.

As Pest Control

Due to its physico-sorptive properties, diatomaceous earth absorbs lipids from the waxy outer layer of an insects exoskeleton, causing them to dehydrate and die before they can reproduce. Dusted into nest boxes and sprinkled over seed, it effectively deters both internal and external parasites.

As a Blood Stopping Agent

Diatomaceous earth works quickly to stop minor bleeding through its coagulation properties.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

On or in the seed -

Sprinkle 1/8th tsp over 1 cup dry or oiled seed and mix well. Replace daily to avoid humidity absorption.

Seed in storage -

Add 1/8 cup to 20lbs seed, seal tightly and store.

As a Blood Stopping agent -

Dip a cotton swab in the diatomaceous earth and dab to the affected area, putting light pressure on the wound until bleeding stops.

PRECAUTIONS:

Do not breath dust from this product.

To prolong effectiveness, keep tightly sealed when not in use.
